The Karate Kid gives me a stomach ache. I haven’t seen it in years, but I recall the stomach lurching scenes vividly. The Boy is watching it now and I’ve had to leave the room and hide.

Parent Update
Thank you all for your thoughts and notes for my parents today. My brother was able to take me to see my mom in Rochester, NH. She is home and recovering well. Sadly, this is not the first time her dog has bit her and the state requires that he be put down. Of course the state also needs to do tests, etc so they have to wait ten days. Ugh. So, The Boy and I come to New England to visit my folks and the first morning we’re here, they are both in hospitals. My dad is in Maine Medical in Portland having kidney surgery and my mom is in Frisby Hospital in Rochester, NH recovering from a severe dog bite her Corgi gave her yesterday. I have no car. Ugh.
